Independent imprints publishing novels, short stories, niche magazines and current events.

Founded in 1990 to bring together a group of tiny independent publications, Spey Sondheim had the unusual distinction of working co-operatively with writers to ensure they maintained full control of their own copyrights. Publications were produced on a contract run basis with all rights reverting to the creator thereafter. Today, therefore, digital work and contemporary hard copies of these early publications are mostly beyond the remit of further republication.

Instead, and for the most part, Spey Sondheim is now the publishing vehicle for the written works of Jim Cheshire, including, in partial publication, his own contributions to those community productions.

Some British only work can be found on this site, while major editions will be available worldwide through global outlets such as the ubiquitous Amazon.
